Tiger Home Inspection was initially founded in 1990 by Joseph E. Rizzo and Carl Pucci. Mr. Rizzo retired in 2003 and Mr. Pucci retired in 2008. Mr. Rizzo’s sons, Sean and Jay, continue the family tradition as the owners of the company.
Tiger Home Inspection has since grown to be the largest independent home inspection company in New England. With corporate headquarters in Braintree, MA, Tiger Home Inspection’s reach is throughout Eastern Massachusetts, Southern New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. The firm’s marketing representatives and home inspectors maintain satellite offices throughout the coverage area, providing a strong presence throughout the region.
Tiger was instrumental in the formation of the Massachusetts Council of Independent Home Inspectors, created to help guide the process of licensing home inspectors, as well as other issues that are key to the industry.
In an effort to upgrade the industry standards, Tiger Home Inspection took a leadership role in requiring home inspectors to become licensed. Tiger Home Inspection members are represented in industry organizations such ASHI.
Tiger Home Inspection has been recognized by a number of organizations for its success and continued growth. In particular, Tiger has been honored by the United States Chamber of Commerce as a Blue Chip Initiative Enterprise winner, as well as being a multi-year recipient of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce’s “Success Profiles” designation. Both awards recognize companies for their growth and overcoming challenges.
In addition to residential home inspections, Tiger also provides commercial property inspection and has established a special division to meet those needs.
It is designed for financial institutions, commercial realtors and investors as well as individual buyers.
